Her voice is by far better in range and quality than on Back in Black, I suspect because she was younger and had smoked less. Cons - too many remakes of the same song from studio out-takes are provided and are of lower production quality. Some versions take on a hip-hop quality that unfortunately detracts significantly from her soulful jazz singer image. Lots of songs, whether you care for them or not, are provided on a second CD that's part of this set.

I immediately fell in love with Amy Winehouse's album Frank. I bought it for the B-sides (disc 2), especially her vocal interpretation of Someone to Watch Over Me. But both sides are great, great, great.

this album in my opinion is far better than back to black, more jazzy and soulful and almost every song gets you hooked. the bonus disc is incredible as well. you can hear amy singing live, which is always a treat, except when she's drunk and high. buy this YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.

The reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 is because of the 2nd disc. I had the first release of Frank but someone else has it. So you will know on the track Amy Amy Amy there are 2 additional songs. Your milage may vary as we all have differing taste. The song Round Midnight does sound real good so not a total waste. They are Brother and Mr.

However the demo versions Amy has a better voice. So bought this one since it was a little more than $3 more but had 2 disc instead of one. Just for the most part differant versions of the same songs on the 1st disc. Magic. To me disc one is good except for Moody's Mood For Love. Not sure what is going on with that.

If you can get a copy of the Regular Frank cd do so instead of this one.

I GOT THIS ONE FOR MY WIFE FOR CHRISTMAS AND SHE LOVES THIS SINGER.SHE HAS PLAYED THIS CD SET OVER AND OVER.THE CASE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT BUT IS MADE ALOT BETTER THEN MOST. THE SOUND IS GREAT YOU CAN TELL THE RECORD LABEL PUT SOME TIME IN MAKEING THIS ONE.THE CD'S ARE BLACK THE SLEEVE IS WHITE AND HAS ALOT OF PICTURES OF AMY SO IF YOU ARE A FAN THIS IS A MUST HAVE CD THANKS AND HOPE THIS HELPS.
